WHY ONE TREE PLANTED

We believe planting trees is a real and possible solution to climate change as they absorb greenhouse gases and release oxygen back into the atmosphere. Operating since 2014, in 2019 One Tree Planted planted 4 million trees around the world. Their 2020 goal is 15 million.

HELPING AUSTRALIAN FORESTS

We focus our tree planting on our vast, varied and beautiful Australian Forests. Planting trees in Australia helps conserve our unique wildlife, absorb carbon and cleans our air. Young, healthy trees also help suppress the spread of bushfires.

Project 1: Northern Rivers of NSW

Target: 50,000 trees. March-Nov 2021. Planting Tallowwood, Forest Red Gum, Paperbark & Flooded Gum in the area between Byron Bay and out towards Tenterfield, north to the Queensland border and south towards Grafton. The aim of this project is to create a koala wildlife corridor that will protect the habitat of this threatened species and undo some of the damage caused by Black Summer 19/20.

PROJECT 2: WESTERN VICTORIA

Target: 10,000 trees. May-Sept 2021. Planting a number of species of Acacia in an area near the Grampians National Park has been cleared for decades. The aim is to provide linkages for the natural flow of species between two large areas of remnant forest in western Victoria.

PROJECT 3: WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Target: 10,000 trees. June-Sept 21. Planting Acacia, Banksia, Eucalyptus and Melaleuce trees in the buffer zone around the Stirling Range National Park which was devastated in the 2019/20 Black Summer bushfires, restoring habitats, conserving biodiversity and re-establishing native species that capture atmospheric carbon.
